PHYSIOTHERAPISTS IN CAPE TOWN

Renew Therapy is operated and owned by Caryn Stretton, who has worked in the medical industry for over 12 years. Caryn has provided thorough training to all therapists in her Osteo-Physio procedures for injury and pain alleviation. Instead of only treating the symptoms, the practitioners seek to identify the source of the harm. The appointments are over an hour long to allow for a thorough discussion of the patient’s history, assessment, therapy, and rehabilitation for specific injury. The body is built to heal itself, and Renew Wellness provides you with the knowledge and skills to live a pain-free injury-free life.

Caryn Stretton

Caryn studied Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy in Boston USA. She now runs two of her own private practices in Cape Town South Africa focusing on chronic pain. Caryn works with professional athletes, sports teams and has been blessed to travel all over the world to help various cases but her heart is to create hope and heal the average patient who has been told there is no cure. Caryn helps alleviate pain, enhancing neuro-immune communication with hands on therapy. Caryn’s treatment approach is unique in having an individual focus on each patient, their lifestyle, sport, sleeping patterns and daily biomechanics which affect alignment, pain receptors and neural response.

Caryn believes in extensive assessment and diagnostic protocol before actual treatment by having a mindset of getting to the cause of pain and not just masking the symptoms. Caryn guides her patients during every session to implement a plan of action with regards to lifestyle change, mind set, and rehab to avoid reoccurring injury. Caryn lectures various courses to share her knowledge as well as is constantly attending workshops herself and writing case studies to expand her skillset. When not practicing, assessing, or lecturing- Caryn enjoys trail running with her two German Shepard’s, teaching dance & visiting the Winelands.
